Japanese “Tsukimi” Moon & Rabbit Indigo Plate with Mist Gradient 【

Original price was: £14.00.Current price is: £11.00.

While Western folklore speaks of a “Man in the Moon,” Japanese legend tells of a rabbit living on the moon, pounding rice cakes (mochi).

This plate captures the enchanting atmosphere of the “Tsukimi” (Moon Viewing) festival. Using the “Fukizumi” (airbrushed glaze) technique, the artisan creates a misty, indigo gradient that mimics the night sky. The white silhouettes depict playful rabbits frolicking amongst Pampas grass under a crescent moon. It’s a piece of poetry in ceramic form.

Highlights:

1. Folklore Charm: A wonderful conversation piece featuring the beloved “Moon Rabbit” legend.

2. Dreamy Aesthetic: The airbrushed indigo gradient gives the plate a soft, painting-like quality.

3. Versatile Use: Perfectly sized for serving small sweets or functioning as a bedside jewellery tray for rings.
